Us is bicameral (house of representatives (less time in office) and senate (more time in office)) Representative of minorities as well as majorities; reaches compromise; more division of government less likely to reach corruption (checks and balances between two houses) New zealand, denmark, sweden, spain lawmaking is faster; lawmaking is more responsive; encourages sense of identity. Although these decisions may be faster, they may be more inefficient (could be irrational lawmaking not enough thinking of consequences and results; not looking at long- term always) Disadvantages: less checks in power; represents majority but not minorities; political instability. Some thought there should be more than one person to cover different parts of the states. Presidency- single person directed by neither people nor congress (electoral college votes for president not the masses but not in lawmaking); four year terms (two terms max) 35 years old; natural born citizen and resident for past 14 years.
