Skin is the largest organ and its a canvass. You can feel your body moving when you watch someone else. Touch is how we tell where we are in relation to each other and the world, but we don"t feel that all the time. We have to block that out in order to function, but what if we do that too much. Touch is disruptive and thats why we cant touch the art because the oils in our ngers. It"s really hard to not touch sculptures, which are made to be touched. Though we can imagine what the object would feel like just by looking because we can use all of our prior experience touching things. Touch teaches us that life has depth and contour. Without that intricate feel for life there would be no artists. Hairdressers are working with hair as a medium, this is more in african cultures than in western civilization.
