The church of rome begins addressing the issues to keep people from leaving them for reform movements. Council of trent: 1545-1563 is the counter reformation. France is currently ruled by the queen regent who is a medici so pretty tight with rome. The french wars were civil wars and tons of people died. Navarre has to say that he"s catholic to become king. He wasn"t really catholic but puts the country rst.
