Hunter gatherers family form: were in charge of hunting with sons who were 14 years or older. Women: gathered food from crops and prepared meals and also cleaned the home, took care of young children. Families had 1-2 children, usually spaced out so they could help work or take care of each other and not slow down the parents. The sons helped the father hunt for food when they were older. The daughters helped the mother cook and clean as well as care for younger children around. Wished child : women had a child when they were about 40 years old so that it could take care of them when they were older. Marriage was not focused on love but on continued success in the community. Men wanted a woman who would be given a good amount of land by her father so that they had enough room to grow crops for food.
