They were allowed to live at home longer and married at an older age since they were put into public schools. More mutual affection and companionship in marriages. Women and men fell in love and got married on their own with little to no interference from their families. Divorce was now allowed which kept the love from being forced. Family sustained themselves by growing and trading what they needed.
