Women and men make decisions together and the wives opinions actually matter. Men: father was the primary breadwinner since he worked 12 hours a day, his authority diminished since he was away for most of the day. Were no longer able to work and help their family financially. Families now consisted of 2-3 children since they were no longer working and were more of an economic burden. Tender years : were nurtured significantly by their parents and raised to become good adults especially while they were still developing. They were allowed to live at home longer and married at an older age since they were put into public schools. More mutual affection and companionship in marriages. Women and men fell in love and got married on their own with little to no interference from their families. Divorce was now allowed which kept the love from being forced. Family sustained themselves by growing and trading what they needed.
