Solo scriptura: scripture only ; felt strongly that the way to be christian is demonstrated in scripture alone. ~ authority = officers of the church in catholicism/orthodox faiths. Solo fide: faith alone ; we are saved by our faith alone, not rituals or actions. 7 sacraments- rituals that can only be performed by priests for non-priests. Catholics and orthodox say there are 7; protestants say their are 2 sacraments.
