Eustace: goes to modern school without corporal punishment and it"s coed. It is a very narrow and scienti c family. Is terri ed of narnia medicine, because he doesn"t trust it. Mythological motif that forces people to make decisions and is often a turning point. This appears a lot in the odyssey (cerses is similar to the island they nd). After they leave there is a very pleasant time. Times then get hard and caspian takes charge and starts rationing the water, which eustace steals. Eustace ns a dragon guarding treasure and he decides to ll up his pockets with treasure.
