Anatomy is the study of structure of the body. The word anatomy comes from greek and it mean, to cut apart . Physiology is the study of the body function. There are 3 types of section and planes: coronal, transverse, Midsagittal: sagittal: this divides the body into left and right, transverse: this divides the body into top and bottom half, coronal: this divides the body into front and back side. There are two main regions in the human body: axial region: is head, neck and trunk, appendicular region: is hands and legs. Body cavities are divided into two cavities: posterior cavity: brain and spinal cord, anterior cavity: have two parts. Serous membrane: is a tissue that lines some internal cavities of the body. And also serous membrane has two layers: parietal layer: lines that are on the inside body wall, visceral layer: lines that are on the outside of organs. Serous cavity: is the space that is between the membrane.
