Psychological model- good communication is accurate communication, the message that is sent is the message that is received. Social constructionist- communication that is mindful of their intentions; communicate in ways that support positive values and equality among people. Components: people (as representations of culture or society, language (symbolic codes, shared meanings (beliefs, values, roles, traditions) Effective communication: taking responsibility for the influence we exert; understanding influences that surround us.
