[what we think of as brain is soft (?)] theorized that cerebrum was for memories and that cerebellum was for movement. 18 to 19th cent, start moving on more on the tissue around the ventricles (instead of the uid they thought was going through nerves") Figured out during this time: that brain tissue obviously contained the neurons, glial cells. Figured out that we have white matter and grey matter.
