This week we learn that exchange relationships alter as social relationships change. When used as a means to change the nature of a social relationship, reciprocity is a form of nonverbal communication. Analyze also how the form of reciprocity between people varies with social distance and why. In my personal experience, communicating with goods feels more personal and genuine. I feel appreciated when my neighbor makes me banana bread every year on christmas. When my friends offer to pay for meals because they know i am paying my way through school and i don"t have the funds at the moment. It feels nice to receive a gift without asking. This type of action speaks louder than words. There are different expectations when it comes to communicating without words. There are market exchanges where objects or services are bought and sold at a price measured in money.
