This was my first experience with the manoa valley theatre. I had no expectations but i was completely impressed. I walked in on february 14th to see the curious incident of the dog in the night-time and was immediately greeted with some valentines day treats and i entered the theatre through a mysterious blue staircase. It looked to seat about 110 people and the stage was a simple black box setup. There were no sets, just a white background used for lighting/special effects and projections. The curious incident of the dog in the night-time by simon stephens is based on a novel of the same name by mark haddon. The story is about a young boy with asperger syndrome, named. Christopher who is accused of killing the neighbor, mrs. shears, dog. He then decides to investigate who the killer is and writes a book about his investigation.
