This class will introduce the basics of technical theatre; scenery design and construction; lighting, costume, and sound design and their execution. It covers many topics so it will move quickly. In accordance with the learning goals and objectives as set forth by the department of drama and dance this course will cover the following: Drama and theatre arts majors will gain proficiency in various areas of the. Learning objectives--4. 1 drama and theatre arts students pursuing production will gain proficiency in various areas of technical theatre. Course 1) understand the production process from a technical/design point of view. Goals: develop a working knowledge and vocabulary of design and technical theatre. Develop various skills useful to the mounting of a theatrical production.
