African-american poet (wrong: she isn"t african-american, she was born in africa, she didn"t first publish many others did it before her, phillis comes from the ship she was taken on. Hip-hop = black culture expressions of hardships through sounds and rhythms, round. Must stop in the office hour at least once. Womanism = inclusive, women of color, race first, gender second. Feminist = for all female, gender first, race second: comes from white women anger than black men received the right to vote first.
