I did it, but the government gave me the idea: very rare. Double jeopardy: can"t be tried twice, can"t face criminal charges. It was a crime to but it had to be done: something was forced to be done. Somebody stole money but was forced to. Insanity: person was insane during crime and trial, enter plea. Wasn"t sane enough to be on trial. A seven year old gets hold of a gun and kills someone. State of limitation: nobody figures out crime and nothing can be done, 18 month violation. Public defenders: paying the county, cases for people who can"t afford an attorney. Requires states and localities to furnish counsel for those indigent persons charged with felony. Answered the question of when an accused is required to be provided an attorney when the process of police investigation shifts from investigatory to accusatory. Suspect must be advised of his right to remain silent and remain his right to attorney.
