1. How does the protein content vary between skim milk and whole milk? What about fat content?
(2 points): Skim milk has around 3 more grams of protein/serving than whole milk does. It
also has ZERO grams of fat/serving. This is over 7x less fat/gram than whole milk.
2. Based on the information above, which would be the better protein source for including in a
healthy diet? Why? (2 points) Skim milk would be the better protein source for a healthy diet
because it has zero fat/serving (which is 7x less fat than whole milk), and also has 19 less mg
of cholesterol than whole milk does. It also is a better protein source because it has over 3
grams of protein more per serving.

1. Which protein source contributes the least amount of total fat on a serving basis? (2 points)
The light meat (no skin) roasted 3 oz. of chicken has the least amount of fat on a
serving basis. The second protein source that has the least amount of total fat on
a serving basis would be the top loin steak that is broiled (also 3 oz).
2. Based on protein and fat content, which of these protein sources are best to consume regularly as part
of a healthy diet? Why? (2 points)
I would suggest eating the light meat chicken with no skin (roasted) regularly for a healthy
diet because it also has the least amount of fat that comes with it. The salmon has less
protein and more fat, and the steak has more protein but also more fat. So, I would eat the
chicken because it has the right amount of protein/fat ratio with also zero carbs.
