Health-related fitness: withstanding physical challenges, but also your level of protection against diseases. Includes: endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and body composition. Exercise can prevent diseases, while also improving your physical capabilities. 30 minutes, 5 days a week is the recommendation to prevent disease. 300 minutes is required to improve physical functions. Cardiorespiratory endurance: performing prolonged, large-muscle, dynamic exercise at moderate to high intensity. Muscular endurance: ability to resist fatigue, sustain muscle tension. Flexibility: ability of joints to move through full range of motion. Body composition: ratio between fat mass, compared to fat-free mass (muscle, bones, water). A person with excessive body fat, especially in the abdomen, are more likely to experience health problems. Skill related components: speed, power, agility, balance, coordination, reaction time.
