Disadvantages: longevity, old age when children grows up. When you have grandchildren: health, better medical care/facilities, living longer, what if you grow frail who is going to take care of you, young child, not mature yet. Social pressure: family pressure wanting continuity, religion religion + family can go hand-in-hand, friends if friends are having children, there"s indirect pressure, government control family size, reduce population. China one child policy have small family, but not dictate like. Individual reasons: positive nature, for love, companionship, viewed as becoming an adult, negative nature, to escape, get back at their parents, to keep a relationship, wanting to. C. children later in life possess someone: women chasing career, therefore, postponing kids. Emotional preparedness, emotionally mature, you don"t see children as interruptions in life. Better prepared to be a good parent no guide to being a parent. Marriage is now more stable, when the marriage has solidarity.
