Document Summary

A way of reasoning that includes studies of contextual questions attempts to make sense of the. We want to describe, predict or access this variation usually to make a decision or change policies. Induced- make something occur usually in an experiment. Natural- how individuals vary natural differences among humans, planets, animals etc. Measurement- errors that occur via humans or tools when measuring values. Sampling- taking similar samples can produce different measurements on a variable. So statistics provides meaning in a context which makes the study different than pure math. Qualitative (categorical)- grouping by similar characteristics i. e. eye color, sizes, opinions yes/no (binary) Quantitative- measurable, numerical value on a scale of units i. e. calculate mean: analyze. 3a. organize into lists and make pictures and/or numerical summaries- essentially summarize (contextual) 4a. make a conclusion to try to answer the original questions- use the result for some decisions. Examine cases - come from the sample and information is recorded for each case.
