Table 2-5 components of a child"s developmental niche. Physical living conditions, such as size & type of the living space, sleep & eating schedules, & whether children sleep in the same area as the parents or other caregivers. Approaches to the specifics of caring for & rearing children that are normative for families & for cultures such as the extent of formal versus informal schooling & training oriented toward independence from others versus dependence on others. In addition, each parent has a different parenting style whether is authoritative or permissive. Lastly, the culture in which the child is brought up will influence the way the child envisions the world and the people around them: each child is different, so various parenting styles may affect them differently. If all parents were authoritative, children would be extremely independent. But, like said each child has a different personality.
