Chapter 9: tethered: meaning that even though people are doing a specific task, like driving, they will still connect to their phones even if it puts their lives at risk. We are always connected no matter what we are doing: collaborative- self: meaning that we often connect to friends when in need of advice or really in need of anything. This makes us less independent: cannot be independent: we rely on technology to keep us connected to people instead of going to talk to the people. This makes it more about the technology and devices rather than the person itself. Chapter 10: technology is easier for people to open up: we rely on technology to open up and show how we feel rather than doing it in person.
