Intertextual- taking an idea and putting your own spin on it. We receive 80% of our information from our eyes. Freud: dreams are the royal road to the subconscious. Freud defines theory on psyche into 3 parts. Id- represents drive, impulse, sexual desires: super ego- moral beliefs (conscious), guilt, idea aspirations, ego- mediates between id and super ego, knowledge of reality. It is important for designers, photographers and artists to understand psyche. Our ability to process visuals related to hemispheres of the brain. Left: focus more attention, but tires quickly.
