1. Pre-contemplation- not thinking about it
2. Contemplation- start to think about what needs fixing
3. Preparation- more planning and getting together
4. Action- start doing it
5. Maintenance/ Termination or Adoption- keeping it up
Barriers

-Lack of Knowledge
Goals
S- Simple Ex: (eat less fried food on daily basis)
M- Measurable Ex: (eat only 2 fried foods on daily basis)
A- Achievable Ex: (yes I can do this)
R- Relevant Ex: (helps your long term goal)
T- Timely Ex: (eat only 2 fried foods on a daily basis by oct 15)
E- Ethical Ex: (no shortcuts)
R- Revaluate Ex: (maybe go down to less fried or give self more time, look back over)
Self esteem
-Dependent on meeting conditions important to me.
-Embraces my own inherent value that is always present.
-Intrinsic value is inside yourself
-Contingent is an outside force
