People, activities, embarrassment, tasks : self stimulation: Pain attenuation: a behavior occurs so that a pain does not hurt as much (e. g. scratching a mosquito bite) (iwata, dorsey, slifer, bauman, & richman, 1982; 1994. Innate behavior: or also called instincts many animals are born with instincts that help them survive. Behaviors that are obtained by observing, experiencing, or practicing are called learned behaviors.
