Ossification: begins by 4th (cid:449)eek of pre(cid:374)atal de(cid:448)elop(cid:373)e(cid:374)t till early 20"s. Endochondral ossification: develops from models of hyaline cartilage, most skeleton develops this way. Intramembranous ossification: develops from mesenchyme, some bones of skull, clavicles, sesamoid bones. Most of bones go from mesenchyme cartilage bone: called endochondral ossification. When go from mesenchyme directly to bone: called intramembranous ossification.
