Four years before this he had a seizure (due to learingn and staying up late) Ct showed: astrocytoma (tumour) along the corpus callosum and the lateral prefrontal cortex in the left hemisphere and a little bit in right frontal lobe. W. r. lost his ego/personality and therefore the ability to take command of own life and to engage in goal oriented behaviour. Actions, that were made out of habits like drinking/sleeping were still possible. Allows us to use our perceptions, knowledge and goals to bias the selection of action and thoughts from a multitude of possibilities. Allows us to override automatic thoughts and behaviour/step out of real, of habitual responses. Cognitive flexibility/ acting and thinking in creative ways. Suppress thoughts, activate others/ making plans and thinking about consequences of plans/ plan for future.
