These rights can pertain to all individuals, even those individuals that are not living with their families. These rights are often seen as a right to privacy and are grounded in due process. Describe and discuss briefly the early legal assumptions about the family in american. Early legal assumptions about the family in american society consisted of the courts considering the family as a safe zone. This being that all members were treated justly and individuals were thought to have their best interests considered at all times.
