9/19/2017: list and describe/discuss the major institutions or entities, public and private, through which social welfare is delivered in american society. The following institutions have something to offer when it comes to welfare. Each of which have expectation and balance what they can and are willing to offer. Family and kin: conservative individuals tend to have a perspective that is more individualistic. Meaning that everyone has the power to create their own destiny and by working hard and persevering they should be self-sufficient. Conservatives believe that before turning to the government for assistance, individuals should turn to their family and kin first. The issue that arises with this belief is that not everyone"s family has the means to help support their family members. Faith based organizations: conservatives are the ones who donate money to their churches and other faith based organizations to help the well-being of society.
