Document Summary

Typed response 11: direction of fall: the author uses a 3-line stanza format throughout the poem, most of which contain continued thoughts between each stanza, the author tends to repeat certain words, such as memory , reaper , wind , etc. The poem goes into exceptional detail of how the storm effects things from the birds to the land to the people on the land. I think the author starts from above the clouds and goes all the way to the ground, emphasis on the direction of how a storm falls. Although superficially i believe the author is discussing a storm, it may internally relate to him being worn away like the land. He also may be having a dream of how something in his life is challenging or confusing, but he"s going to approach it with his head held high.
