Document Summary

People behaving differently than they would in another situation. Ex: national poverty rates- can take a functionalism view or conflict theory view to this issue. Ex: journalist lived in property and wrote a book about it. Macro level is more representative of the total population, where micro its only one experience your looking at. Micro level get more of the details that the macro level misses. Ex: typical college lecture hall- one speaker, many students sitting, students being quiet, applied heirchary, their rules and guidelines. But there is also different types of classes, in a small class its more of a discussion amongst the teacher and the students, more relaxed, get to know fellow students. At a concert people are more rowdy, there is a hierarchy, security, ppl sitting in different areas (some closer to the stage) At a living room concert, not as rowdy, ppl can see the performers better.
