Sociology (exam 2: goffman"s dramaturgy, groups, race +ethnicity, Efficiency- how we are making sure everything is getting done in the most efficient way possible: predictability- how much are these things going to cost and how can we make sure we have those correct calculations. How can we make sure people are doing their jobs: calculability- we have to be able to plan what our expansive is going to be. Goal displacement- original goals become replaced by other goals like maintain your positions for a paycheck. Time- if you are a manager of a big company and you are losing money every day you need to fix that problem because losing more money by the hour. How much time do you have to come up with a solution: available information- to make a really rational decision you need all the information but this hardly ever happens. Time and money can also limit how much information we can get.
