This is a view of government that says there are special interest groups representing business and military to try and influence our lives but they are all different with competing interest. What is good for our group is usually bad for another. These groups are trying to push legislation one way or another and only interested in legislation that affects them: the power-elite view. People at the top of our society come from overlapping social circles and go to same elite prep schools and go on to same elite universities and belong to same exclusive social organizations. They find themselves with doors open to them with top positions in certain job fields.
