Document Summary

The kids who beat autism by ruth padawar was an extremely interesting article to read, especially because i was unaware that a person could beat autism. It sounds extremely difficult from all perspectives and i understand why people are so determined to find a cure, however despite all the studies that were conducted and showed great results, i, personally, don"t believe a cure exists. In my personal opinion, people talk and treat autism as if it is a disease or infection, but people with autism aren"t sick, they have a disorder. As a result, it can"t be cured, however, there are steps that can be taken to improve certain aspects of the lives of those with autism. One of these steps that can be taken to help improve the lives of those with autism is applied behavioral analysis, or a. b. a. , which is talked about quite a lot in the article.
