All societies have belief systems that can be defined as religious . Religious systems often involve specialized roles and institutions. These religious systems both create cross cultural lines. A reality beyond that which is immediately available to the senses, and the ideas and practices that postulate that reality. Domains of life that are treated as separate from the invisible world. Certain aspects of life become less intertwined with the invisible world. Society has sets of domains; private religious domains. The spread of the idea that there is an alternative to religion: religion. Domains of life that directly address the invisible world. Practices through which people interact with these personifications. Pray to them, cut deals with them, etc. Can pass judgments on the orthodoxy of religious concepts. Anthropologists do not address the truth value of religion. Magic: ritual practices intended to have an outcome on practical matters, the attempt to compel supernatural forces and beings to act in certain ways .
