Expectations will be different based on their age in development. It is important to have a sense of students" health related to their age or maturity, if only to know who many become ill, and with what illness, and to know what physical activities are reasonable and needed. Development of motor skills: self-consciousness and self- esteem issues develop. Health and illness: young children tend to get more sick than adults do since they have weaker immune systems and they are constantly exposed to other children, as students get older, illnesses become less frequent.
