Description
Motion Inside Earth - The surface layer moves heat by radiation - Iron is very efficient at conducting heat - Convection is another way layers move - If the plates are rigid and moving slowly over time, then when to rigid bodies interact with each other, there will be evidence in the form of deformation (which can include geologic events like earthquakes and volcanoes) along those interaction boundaries - Deformation changes near boundaries while interior of the plate is left mostly unchanged o Elevation differences such as ridges, shelves and mountains can be indicators of plate interactions - Evidence of plate tectonics o 3 boundary types are associated with specific lines of evidence for plate movement and interacti
