Equality of the social condition in the us: beyond the political sphere, generated all other factors. Democracy in us was similar to rise in us. By removing some power from the king=> nobles gave it to the people. Many dividing events=> crusades, english wars, protestantism, discovery of america. Noblemen power decreased and commoner power increased=> more equal. Everywhere in the christian world democracy gave advantages to the people. Any desire to halt democracy wold then appear a struggle against god himself . Duties imposed on rulers: educate democracy, reawaken its beliefs, purify its morals, control its passions, adapt govt to time, place and people. A new political science is needed for the new world. In france, democratic revolution without changing the ideas, laws, customs, or manners that would have made the revolution bene cial. Nobles placed power away from the people for fear of abuse. The people never thought they could be equal with their leaders.
