Physical activity: is any body movement caries out by the skeletal muscles and requires some energy expenditure. Exercise: is a planned, structured, repetitive movement intended to improve and/or maintain overall physical fitness in measurable terms. Exercise is necessary to improving one"s fitness, especially as a means of practice or training for building special skills or physical attributes. This graph displays the years of life gained when participants met various percentages of hhs guidelines for physical activity. Incorporate me/ms resistive exercises to develop muscle strength and/or endurance for at least twice a week. Physical activity requirements to improving health & wellness. Moderate-intensity activities are those that get you moving fast enough to burn off three to six times as much energy per minutes as you do when you re sitting quietly. Vigorous intensity activities require the highest amount of oxygen consumption and substantial increase in heart rate (ie 80% maximal heart rate)
