Marries anne boleyn (she gets beheaded bc she only gives him girl) Marries elizabeth i gives him a son (edward vi (1537))but he dies six years after father. Last 3 marriages no children (anne of cleves, and 2 catherines) Mary (1553-1558) given the throne after edward vi death. Elizabeth i (1558-1603) on the throne after mary"s death. Rewards english sailors (pirates) who seize gold from spanish ships. Didn"t really care about religion, wanted absolute loyalty to herself if you promised that, she didn"t care how you worshipped. Known as the virgin queen, (definitely wasn"t a virgin) but never married and never had children. England didn"t have the energy to compete with spain because the tudors were so messed up.
