Jaundice: turning yellow, mostly deals with the liver. Erythema: turning red, increased blood flow in an area. Pallor: turning pale, due to decrease of oxygen. Hematoma: bruising, collection of blood flow in an area, breakdown of blood. Skin scrapings: scrape sample of skin to look under microscope. Hypersensitivity tests (rast and skin prick): allergies. Wheal: raised level of skin in response to a scratch, allergic reaction, cold weather, known as hive. Macule: discolored spot on the skin, freckle. Papule: solid, circumscribed, elevated area on the skin, pimple.
