If you illegally break into someone"s house and steal their vase, then that is a burglary. Elements of burglary: the unauthorized breaking and entry into a building or occupied structure with the intent to commit a crime inside. Arson is deliberately setting fire to someone"s property. Setting someone"s house on fire is an example of arson. Elements of arson: knowingly sets fire to, burns, causes to be burned, causes to be damaged or destroyed, any property of another. Hate crimes elements: illegal behavior motivated by hatred, bias, or prejudice against a certain or perceived race, color, religion, natural origin, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation of an individual or group. Most of these crimes involve intimidation, vandalism, simple assault, or aggravated assault. Stalking elements: constant, repeated harassment and credible threats to an individual.
