Our job is to make sure the earth is sustainable: gro harlem brundtland definition: live so future generations can live well, too. Example: bald eagle recovered, not even monitored anymore. If all lived like us, would need 5 earths to be sustainable: so, us has a special responsibility to lead, we have to be global because nature ignores political boundaries. A snake was used as an example in class to model attitudes that people have towards nature.
