Inequity: unfair difference in health that are unnecessary and avoidable, not being fair to certain groups, equity is when diff groups receive diff amounts depending on their needs. Inequality: differences in health statuses and health determinants btw diff pops, equality is when everyone receives the same no matter who, outcomes, objectives, patterns. Less rich, less social power, less political power have worse health, poorer service, less fair protection for financial health. Include: women, carries genetic health risk and decreased capital, victims to violence, male children fed more to females. Indigenous people aren"t able to complain or fight for their rights: ethnic minorities, rural. Lgbt: between countries, variations in basic indicators. Status of econ dev, relationships btw countries, political env: within countries, different across pop groups, urban env have better health due to access and higher ses, rural infrastructure is less solid.
