Film becoming obsolete as a format development of new digital cameras and discontinuation of motion picture film stock. Digital video= a lot cheaper to work with than film stock because not an actual physical object. Exclusively in the us, films are distributed on digital form dcp= digital production that is a hard drive used to project movies in a theater. More difficult to pirate a 3d film. New revenue streams are cutting old revenue streams so when you watch a movie at home, you are undercutting the revenue streams of big distribution studios: piracy= easier to pirate a digital movie. Hackers= steal content and distribute it over the internet distributed over the internet, but not necessarily for financial gain will pirate, but do not do everything that piraters do.
