The first chapter really stressed how important management really is. Being able to manage and understand management and managers in the work place is crucial to success in almost any field, regardless of whether you want to be a manager or not. Regardless of your own personal position, you will be dealing with managers or some type of management in the workplace. A manager is crucial to the workplace especially with how many changes are occurring in the world today. It is their responsibility to handle those tough situations when they arrive, and this is a big part of what make"s an organization succeed or fail. There are different levels of managers, but in general, they each need the same sort of skill set to effectively and efficiently manage an organization. People differ on what they believe these management functions and roles are. On one hand, management"s roles can be described as planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.
