Difference between an opinion and a mood. An opinion is always about someone or something and it"s always to the effect that someone or something is a certain way. Opinions have to be about something, can"t be about nothing. Moods or feelings can be about something, either something they"re produced by or not something they"re produced by. A feeling can be about something to the effect that it"s a certain way but it doesn"t have to be. There could be no reason for the feeling. If an opinion is a judgement, that things are a certain way, then it"s got to be either true or false. Doesn"t have to be sensible or supported by reason, but can be true or false. The elimination of metaphysics (chapter 1) from language, truth and logic by ayer. 2nd of his argument: value attributions are neither true nor false. 1st argued for the verifiability in criteria of meaning - chapter 1.
