Indicated cases= those in which an allegation of maltreatment or risk of maltreatment could not be substantiated, but there was a reason to suspect maltreatment. Physical abuse and sexual abuse have decreased a substantial amount neglect is fluctuating. Highest in african american / native american populations. More common in females than in males. Neglect is the most common form of maltreatment: other articles: Females had more of these feelings than males (could be because they were more likely to report them: hispanics= most likely out of all ethnic groups.
