Facts: 3 oicers arrived at mapp"s house bc they heard a person was hiding there and bc there was a lot of gambling paraphernalia. They knocked on her door and appellate called her lawyer then told police they could only come in if they had search warrant. They came back 3 hours later w 4 more oicers and when she didn"t answer, they forcibly entered her home. Meanwhile the atorney arrived, but the police didn"t let him enter the house or have any contact w appellate. She demanded to see a warrant and when they handed it to her, she shoved it in her top. They then used force to retrieve the warrant and proceeded to search her enire home before inding the lewd and lascivious items. Ph: the prosecuion at trial didn"t produce a search warrant, and the reason for this was not explained.
