Attitude towards music/not music if it has to do with religion. Music plays important part in social life (weddings, festivals, etc. ) Even though qur"anic chanting sounds like music, it"s not because it"s being used for religion/function for religious. Melody and vocal artistry do not involve music. Singing is only a vehicle to recite poetry. Emphasis on the element of sound in music or express religious devotion. Music leads people away from the path of allah/diversion connected with immoral behaviors. There are limits to the merit of music. Music as a sign of moral chaos. Music is a very powerful and evokes strong emotions / can cause violence. Beautiful voices given to prophets are blessings from god argues for music"s legality. Beneficial character of music for the soul. Support for celebratory, occupational, and military hadith. Beautiful melodies help one apprehend blessings of this world and induces generosity of character in being kind, observing family ties, defending one"s honor, and overlooking faults.
