Make sure effects make an actual difference in sound. Chorus effect = makes a copy of dry signal and adds a little delay, and lfo to modulate pitch a little like vibrato. Simulates more than 1 person doing something more than once/chorus singing together not completely in sync/makes sound thicker! Important parameters: rate (lfo, depth (amout of pitch change, delay (pre-delay, feedback. Can speed up/slow down by changing rate and depth! White noise = aperiodic, every frequency, same amplitude! Chips away at frequency/sine waves to get something you want. Start with all frequencies and use a bunch of filters to get something. Starts with nothing and adds sine waves to get noise you want. Rolloff = after cutoff frequency, how much it goes down/rapidly/steep. Lowpass filter- passes low frequenices through filter, important parameter is cutoff frequency (point at which amplitude is 0. 707 of frequencies)
